Fire, Water, Lightning, Earth, Ice, and Wind moves deal more damage to a Yo-kai weak to that element and less to one strong against it.
Each Yo-kai’s weak and strong elements per game, with the multiplier, are on its page.
Per Yo-kai
Every Yo-kai has its own multiplier for each element, for example ×1.5 or ×0.5. ×1 means no effect.
It multiplies Technique damage only.
Fire, Water, Lightning, Earth, Ice, and Wind Play on the attacker raise the multiplier ×1.2 (×1.4 with two sources). Penetrate counts multipliers below ×1 as ×1.
Weak and strong
Each Yo-kai has one strong and one weak element.
Techniques of the weak element deal ×1.5, of the strong element ×0.5. Attacks are not affected.
Abilities that cut damage from an element then reduce it by their value in percent.
Weak and strong
Each Yo-kai has one strong and one weak element.
Hits of the weak element deal ×1.2, of the strong element ×0.8.
Abilities that cut damage from an element apply after that.
Weak and own element
Each Yo-kai has its own element and one weak element. Light and Darkness count as elements too.
Hits of the weak element deal ×1.2. Hits of the Yo-kai’s own element deal ×0.8.
Other bonuses against an element add to the same rate. At a total of 100% that element deals no damage.
